As a senior biology teacher at Cardinal Newman High School, I was pleased to have a presentation by a student from iHealthSS.  The presentation focused on the serious health risks of using tanning beds.  This topic was particularly relevant to high school students and it was presented in a way that both engaged and informed students.  I was very impressed with the quality of the information and the background knowledge of the presenter, who is the current president of the organization.  I highly recomend inviting a member of iHealthSS into your class.

Recently, several of my senior chemistry classes at Cardinal Newman High School were given a presentation on the serious health  risks of tanning beds and subsequent exposure to U.V. radiation.  The quality, relevance, and professionalism of the presentation was excellent.  The presenters, one of whom was the president of the organization, were both very knowledgeable and handled questions competently.

Noel Garber's presentations on the harmful effects of using tanning beds and UV lights for gel nails was very informative, professional, and relevant for today's teenagers.   The information was accurate and well-presented.  It was beneficial for teens, especially girls, because so many of them do use such devices on a regular basis and are unaware of the risk factors.  Hopefully, after seeing the iHealthSS presentation on tanning devices, some of them will think twice before they choose to use a tanning bed or gel nails.
